The Electronic Engine Control (EEC) system has several electronic sensors that transmit information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM processes the information and transmits it to the appropriate electronic control device. The system is used to control fuel economy, engine driveability, and optimize emissions. The EEC system also performs self-diagnosis.
