Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor - California

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is a input into the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The sensor is used in conjunction with the MAP solenoid that either supplies manifold vacuum to the MAP sensor or opens the sensor to atmospheric pressure. The PCM uses the MAP sensor input to control the evaporative emissions system.
