Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

When the power steering fluid pressure exceeds the preset limit, the Power Steering Pressure switch (PSP switch) sends an input signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) which then adjusts idle speed. The PSP switch is located near the right strut tower in the engine compartment.
