Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant below the level of the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor (ECT sensor).
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







3. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector.







4. Remove the ECT sensor from the water hose connection.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Tighten the ECT sensor to 15-20 Nm (11-14 lb ft).

Fill the cooling system.
