Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connectors.

NOTE: Air cleaner to intake manifold tube removed for clarity.

3. Remove the TP sensor screws, and the TP sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the TP sensor on the throttle body and loosely install the TP sensor screws.
2. Adjust the TP sensor.
3. Tighten the TP sensor screws to 2.0-2.4 Nm (17-21 lb in).
4. Connect the TP sensor electrical connectors.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
