Replacement

Transaxle Assembly:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the VSS electrical connector.
4. Remove the VSS hold-down bracket bolt and VSS hold-down bracket.
5. Remove the VSS from the transaxle.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the VSS into the transaxle.
2. Place the VSS hold-down bracket into position and install the VSS bracket bolt. Tighten the VSS hold-down bracket bolt to 5 - 7 Nm (44 - 61 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the VSS electrical connector.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
