Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Testing and Inspection

The rear spring controls suspension travel and provides ride height control. If loading is normal and vehicle stance is not, check for rear spring damage rear spring sag, or non-standard replacement rear springs.

Check the condition of the axle bumper stop rear stabilizer bar (if equipped), and rear spring front mounting plates. If damaged or deteriorated, replace with new parts. The rear spring is a leaf style design.
