Rear
Bounce test the vehicle at the rear to check the rear springs and rear shock absorbers. Dampening action should be pronounced and uniform.Inspect the rear shock absorbers for signs of leakage or other apparent damage. Check for cracked, worn or damaged shock absorber bushings. Replace the rear shock absorber/bushing if necessary.
Inspect the rear springs. Check the rear spring for cracks or other apparent damage. Check for cracked worn, or damaged rear spring bushings and rear spring upper retaining seats. Also, check the rear spring front mounting plates/mounting bolts, rear spring shackles/end plates, and rear spring bolts for deformation, damage, looseness, or thread damage. If necessary, replace the part in question.
NOTE: The rear stabilizer bar link and bushings are normally slightly bent. Check for excessive deformation only.
Inspect the rear stabilizer bar and rear stabilizer bar link and bushings for signs of damage such as deformation, cracks, or abnormal play.
Check for proper rear stabilizer bar link connection. Replace the rear stabilizer bar and/or rear stabilizer bar link and bushing if necessary.
