Wheels must be replaced when they are bent dented, heavily rusted, have air leaks, elongated bolt holes, or have excessive lateral or radial runout.

Inspect for Wheel Damage
Inspect for wheel damage. Wobble or shimmy caused by a damaged wheel will eventually damage the front wheel bearings and cause uneven tire wear. Inspect the rims for dents that could leak air. Check all wheel surfaces for:
- Excessive rust or corrosion buildup.
- Cracks in metal.
- Bent flanges, resulting from road obstructions.

Replace any damaged wheels.
