Heated Back Window Switch and Light

1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect the heated back window switch connector.







3. Using a jumper, connect Terminal 5 of of the heated back window switch to the battery positive terminal.
4. Temporarily connect Terminal 2 of the heated back window switch to the battery negative terminal. The LED should come on when the battery negative terminal is connected to Terminal 2.
5. Disconnect the battery terminals.
6. Measure the resistance between Terminals 4 and 6 while activating the heated back window switch. Resistance should be as shown below:

Heated Back Window Switch Resistance
Released Greater than 10,000 ohms
Depressed Less than 5 ohms

7. If the heated back window switch does not operate as specified, replace the heated back window switch and light. Otherwise, return to Pinpoint Tests.
