Visual Inspection Sheet
1. Verify the customer concern.2. Visually inspect the following for obvious signs of electrical damage.

^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connectors
^ PAM
^ Fuse junction panel
^ Relays
^ Parking aid sensors
^ PAM disable switch
^ LED
^ PAM speaker
^ Reversing lamps
3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If the NGS Tester does not power up, refer to the New Generation STAR Tester manual.
5. Carry out the DATA LINK DIAGNOSTIC TEST. If the NGS Tester responds with:
^ CKT914, CKT915 or CKT70=ALL ECUS NO RESP/NOT EQUIP, refer to Information Bus.
^ NO RESP/NOT EQUIP for PAM, GO to Pinpoint Test A. A: No Communication With the Module - Parking Aid Module
^ System passed, retrieve and record the continuous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and carry out self-test diagnostics for the Parking Aid Module (PAM).
6. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the PAM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics. Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures
7. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, proceed to the Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
