Supplement # 2 - Mustang
1. On vehicles that have not been disabled, disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle body. See Figure 7
2. Disconnect the speed control cable from the accelerator bracket.
3. Disconnect the speed control cable from all routing clips.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
5. Remove the left front wheel/tire assembly.
6. Remove the left front inner fender well.
7. Disconnect the speed control cable from the speed control servo. See Figure 8. Then remove the cable from the vehicle. Pull the cable out through the wheel well.
8. Connect a new speed control cable to the speed control servo. Route the cable through the wheel well.
9. Install the left front inner fender well.
10. Install the left front wheel/tire assembly. Tighten the lug nuts to 115-142 Nm (85-104 lb-ft).
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Connect the speed control cable to all routing clips.
13. Connect the speed control cable to the accelerator bracket.
14. Connect the speed control cable to the throttle body cam.
15. Adjust the speed control cable if applicable, as follows:
^ Remove the adjusting clip from the cable housing. See Figure 9.
^ Cycle the throttle body cam 2-3 times to remove all slack from the speed control cable. Make sure the throttle plate is fully closed with slack removed from the cable.
^ Back off the cable housing one (1) notch. See Figure 9.
^ Insert the adjusting clip into the cable housing. The speed control cable must not be pulled tight for proper operation.
