Differential Assembly: Testing and Inspection

Special Tools:

1. Check the torque required to rotate one differential side gear.
- Mount the differential case and Traction-Lok Torque Tool in a vise.
- The initial break-away torque, if original clutch plates are used, must be no less than the specification. The minimum rotating torque required to keep the differential side gear fuming with new clutch plates may vary.
