P1320 - Distributor Signal Interrupt
The ignition check signal from the ignition primary circuit is monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The test fails when the ignition check signal from the ignition primary circuit is not sent to the PCM during engine cranking or running.Possible Causes:
- The ignition primary circuit is open
- The ignition primary circuit is shorted to PWR
- The ignition primary circuit is shorted to GROUND
- Power transistor unit
- Resister
- Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor
- CMP sensor circuit is open or shorted
Diagnostic Aids:
The resistance across the ignition check signal circuit in line resistor should be approximately 2.2 Kohms at 77°F (25°C).
