P1446 - EVAP Emission Control System Vent Control (Closed)

The EVAP pressure sensor circuit is monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The test fails when the EVAP canister vent control valve remains closed under specified driving conditions.

Possible Causes:
- EVAP canister vent control valve
- EVAP pressure sensor and circuit
- Blocked rubber tube to the EVAP canister vent control valve
- Water separator
- EVAP canister is saturated with water

Diagnostic Aids:
With the EVAP canister vent control valve circuit connector disconnected air should freely pass through the EVAP canister vent control valve.
