P1448 - EVAP Emission Control System Vent Control (Open)

The EVAP pressure sensor circuit is monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The test fails when the EVAP canister vent control valve remains opened under specified driving conditions.

Possible Causes:
- EVAP canister vent valve
- EVAP pressure sensor and circuit
- Blocked rubber tube to the EVAP canister vent control valve
- Water separator
- EVAP canister is saturated with water
- Vacuum cut valve

Diagnostic Aids:
With battery voltage applied to the EVAP canister vent control valve air should not pass through the EVAP canister vent control valve.
