Headlamp System
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATIONThe headlamps are controlled by the Lighting Control Module (LCM). Headlamp power is supplied to the LCM through the following hot at all times Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuses:
^ F12 (15 A) (RH headlamp)
^ F15 (15 A) (LH headlamp)
The LCM is located behind the console cover below the audio unit and is available in four configurations:
^ base (without autolamps) (10-Pin connector)
^ high level (with autolamps) (22-Pin connector)
^ front turn lamps
^ headlamp switch
^ hazard warning flasher switch
^ Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch
^ multifunction switch
^ autolamp sensor
^ Lighting Control Module (LCM) (located behind the console cover below the audio unit)
^ trailer tow control unit (located behind the LR cargo shelf trim panel) and harness (if equipped)
^ base (with Daytime Running Lamps [DRL]) (Canada only) (22-Pin connector)
^ high level (with autolamps and DRL) (Canada only) (22-Pin connector)
For low beam headlamp operation, the headlamp switch provides the ground as a signal to the LCM to illuminate the low beam headlamps. For high beam headlamp and flash-to-pass operation, the multifunction switch provides the ground as a signal to the LCM to illuminate the high beam headlamps.
