Ignition Switch Mechanical Test

IGNITION SWITCH MECHANICAL TEST
Inspect the ignition switch and the ignition switch lock cylinder for signs of binding. If there are signs of binding, repair or install a new ignition switch or ignition switch lock cylinder as necessary.

NOTE: Do not apply lubricant to the inside of the ignition switch.

NOTE: If a binding condition occurs, turn the steering wheel left or right to release the possible load on the steering wheel. Also, verify that the ignition key is cut properly.
