Output Shaft Speed Sensor
Removal1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner-assembly.
3. Disconnect the output shaft speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
5. Remove the LH wheel and tire assembly.
6. Remove the LH inner fender splash shield bolt.
7. Remove the LH inner fender splash shield.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the splash shield.
8. Remove the output shaft speed sensor.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Remove the sensor.
Installation
1. Install the output shaft sensor.
1 Install the sensor.
2 Install the bolt.
2. Install the splash shield.
1 Install the splash shield.
2 Install the bolts.
3. Install the splash shield bolt.
4. Install the LH wheel and tire assembly.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Connect the output shaft speed sensor electrical connector.
7. Install the air cleaner assembly.
8. NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
Connect the battery ground cable.
