Lower Arm

Removal
1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.





2. Remove the bolt.





3. Remove the nut and remove the stabilizer bar connecting link.
^ Discard the nut.





4. Remove the nut and bolt.
^ Discard the nut.





5. Remove the bolt and the flag nut.
^ Discard the flag nut.





6. Remove the nut and the flag bolt.
^ Discard the nut.





7. Remove the nut, shim, flag bolt and the lower arm.
^ Discard the nut.

Installation





1. Install the bolt, shim and the nut
^ Snug the nut.





2. Install the bolt and nut.
^ Snug the nut.





3. Install the bolt and flag nut.
^ Snug the bolt.





4. Install the bolt and nut.





5. Install the stabilizer bar connecting link and tighten the nut.





6. Install the bolt.
7. Install the wheel and tire assembly.

8. CAUTION: The lower arm-to-frame bolts and nuts and the shock absorber bolt and flag nut must be tightened with the vehicle weight resting on the wheel and tire assemblies.





Tighten the nut.





9. Tighten the nut.





10. Tighten the bolt.
11. Check and, if necessary, adjust the alignment.
