P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction

The Transmission Range (TR) sensor is monitored by the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The test fails when the signal received by the TCM from the TR sensor does not match the expected value.

Possible Causes:
^ Non adjusted TR sensor
^ TR sensor circuit is open
^ TR sensor circuit is shorted to VPWR
^ TR sensor circuit is shorted to GND
^ Damaged TR sensor
^ Damaged Transmission Control Module (TCM)

Diagnostic Aids:
The RANGE PID should display the proper gear for all gearshift lever positions.
