P0710 - Trans. Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Malfunction

The Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor circuit is monitored by the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The test tails when the TFT sensor input voltage to the TCM is out of range.

Possible Causes:
^ The TFT sensor circuit is open
^ The TFT sensor circuit is shorted to VPWR
^ The TFT sensor circuit is shorted to GND
^ Damaged TFT sensor

Diagnostic Aids:
The TFT sensor resistance should be approximately 2,200 ohms at 68°F (20°C).
