P1336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor (Gear)

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor circuit is monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The test fails when a chipping of the flywheel gear tooth is detected by the PCM.

Possible Causes:
^ The CKP sensor circuit open
^ The CKP sensor circuit is shorted to PWR
^ The CKP sensor circuit is shorted to GROUND
^ CKP sensor
^ Flywheel

Diagnostic Aids:
Inspect the flywheel for chipped or damaged teeth.
