P1447 - EVAP Emission Purge Flow Monitoring
The Evaporative Emission (EVAP) pressure sensor and the Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure (MAP/BARO) pressure sensor circuits are monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The test fails when the EVAP control system does not operate properly or when the EVAP system has a leak between the intake manifold and the EVAP pressure sensor.Possible Causes:
^ EVAP canister purge valve stuck closed EVAP pressure sensor and circuit
^ Hoses are incorrectly connected or disconnected
^ Blocked rubber tube
^ Blocked or bent rubber tube to the MAP/BARO solenoid valve
^ Cracked EVAP canister
^ EVAP canister purge valve and circuit
^ Closed throttle position switch
^ Blocked purge port
^ EVAP canister vent valve
Diagnostic Aids:
Disconnect the vacuum between the EVAP canister purge valve and the EVAP canister from the EVAP canister, Key ON engine running and the EVAP canister purge valve commanded on 100%, manifold vacuum should be observed at the disconnected vacuum line.
