Oil Pump

Removal

1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Install the transverse member.





1 Position the transverse member.
2 Install the bolts.





3. Install the RH engine support insulator through bolt and nut.





4. Install the LH engine support insulator through bolt.





5. Remove the screw-type jack.
6. Remove the timing belt.





7. Remove the crankshaft sprocket.





8. Remove the inner timing belt guide.
9. Raise the vehicle.
10. Remove the timing belt tensioner.





1 Remove the nut.
2 Remove the timing belt tensioner and spring.

11. Position the generator bracket aside.





1 Remove the bolt.
2 Position the generator bracket aside.





12. Disconnect the oil pressure sender electrical - connector.

13. NOTE: The power steering pump pulley must be rotated to remove all the bolts.





Remove the three power steering pump bolts.
14. Position the power steering pump aside.





1 Remove the bolt.
2 Position the power steering pump aside.

15. Remove the power steering pump bracket.





1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the power steering pump bracket.

16. Remove the oil pump.





1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the oil pump.





17. Remove the oil pump gasket.
18. Remove the oil filter adapter.





1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the oil filter adapter.





19. Remove the oil filter adapter gasket.
20. Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube.





1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube.





21. Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube gasket.

Installation





1. Install the oil pump screen cover and tube gasket.
2. Install the oil pump screen cover and tube.





1 Position the oil pump screen cover and tube.
2 Install the bolts.





3. Install the oil filter adapter gasket.

4. Install the oil filter adapter.





1 Position the oil filter adapter.
2 Install the bolts.





5. Install the oil pump gasket.
6. Install the oil pump.





1 Position the oil pump.
2 Install the short bolts.
3 Install the long bolt.

7. Install the power steering pump bracket.





1 Position the power steering pump bracket.
2 Install the bolts.

8. Position the power steering pump.





1 Position the power steering pump.
2 Install the bolt.

9. NOTE: The power steering pump pulley must be rotated to install all the bolts.





Install the four power steering pump bolts.





10. Connect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.
11. Install the generator bracket.





1 Position the generator bracket.
2 Install the bolt.

12. Install the timing belt tensioner.





1 Position the timing belt tensioner and spring.
2 Install the nut.

13. Lower the vehicle.





14. Install the inner timing belt guide.





15. Install the crankshaft sprocket.
16. Install the timing belt.





17. Position the screw-type jack.





18. Remove the LH engine support insulator through bolt.





19. Remove the RH engine support insulator through bolt and nut.
20. Remove the transverse member.





1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the transverse member.

21. Install the oil pan.
