Test B: Air Bag Warning Indicator Does Not Illuminate

Normal Operation
When the air bag system is functioning normally, the air bag warning indicator will illuminate for approximately 7 seconds when the ignition switch is placed in the ON or START positions, then go out.

If a fault in the air bag diagnostic monitor exists, the air bag warning indicator will illuminate continuously while the ignition switch is in the ON position.

Possible Causes
The air bag warning indicator does not illuminate condition could be caused by:
^ damaged wiring.
^ damaged or burning out air bag warning indicator.
^ worn or damaged instrument cluster.
