Brake Light Switch: Adjustments

1. Check the brake pedal free height.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







3. Adjust the Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Loosen the lock nut.
3 Adjust the BPP switch.







4. Tighten the lock nut. Reconnect the electrical connector.

5. Reconnect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
