Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch.
1 Disconnect the connector.
2 Loosen the lock nut.
3 Remove the BPP switch.

INSTALLATION







1. Install the BPP switch.
1 Install the BPP switch.
2 Install the lock nut.
3 Connect the BPP switch connector.
2. Adjust the BPP switch.
3. Connect the battery ground cable

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
