Anti-Lock Control - Vehicles Built After 03/2002

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
The anti-lock brake system (ABS) consists of the following components:
^ hydraulic control unit (HCU)
^ ABS module
^ rear wheel speed sensor
^ rear wheel speed sensor ring (integral to the ring gear)
^ front wheel speed sensors
^ front wheel speed sensor ring (integral to the hub and bearing assembly)
^ yellow ABS warning indicator
^ brake pressure sensor (also called speed control deactivator switch) (ABS only)

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) With Stability Assist
The anti-lock brake system with traction control and stability assist consists of these additional components:
^ rear wheel speed sensors
^ rear wheel speed sensor ring (integral to the half shaft or ring gear)
^ sensor cluster (contains the accelerometer[s] and yaw rate sensor)
^ steering position sensor (integral to the clockspring)
^ primary brake pressure transducer
^ brake pedal travel sensor
^ brake pedal force switch (integral to the brake booster)
^ brake booster solenoid (integral to the brake booster)
