Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) SensorRemoval
All vehicles
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
4x4 vehicles
2. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the transfer case.
3. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the front differential.
4. Remove the front driveshaft from the vehicle.
All vehicles
5. Remove the shift cable and bracket.
6. Disconnect turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor electrical connector.
7. Remove TSS sensor.
1 Remove the TSS sensor screw.
2 Remove the TSS sensor from the transmission.
8. Inspect the TSS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.
Installation
All vehicles
1. Inspect and lubricate O-ring with petroleum jelly.
1 Install the TSS sensor into the transmission.
2 Tighten TSS sensor screw.
2. Connect TSS sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the shift cable and bracket.
4x4 vehicles
4. Install the front driveshaft in the vehicle.
5. Install the front driveshaft to the transfer case.
6. Install the front driveshaft to the front differential.
All vehicles
7. Lower the vehicle.
