Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

NOTE: Contact an authorized Ford audio system repair facility for further diagnostic assistance. For removal and installation procedures, referred to as the audio unit.


1. Verify the customer concern by operating the electronic audio system with the engine running and the vehicle in and out of motion.

2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
3. If the fault is not visually evident, proceed to speaker walk-around test and audio unit Self-Diagnostic Mode (T100i DM or P100i only). Speaker Walk-Around Test Audio Unit Self-Diagnostic Mode (T100i DM only) Audio Unit Self-Diagnostic Mode (P100i Only)
