42. Raise the vehicle.





43. Install the six lower timing belt cover bolts.





44. Install the LH exhaust manifold to outlet pipe nuts.





45. Install the LH exhaust manifold to RH exhaust manifold nuts.





46. Install the exhaust heat shield.
1 Position the exhaust heat shield.
2 Install the bolts.





47. Install the transaxle fluid level indicator tube bolt.
1 Position the transaxle fluid level indicator tube.
2 Install the bolt.





48. Install the crankshaft pulley.
49. Install the spark plugs.





50. Install the water bypass hose.
1 Position the water bypass hose.
2 Position the clamp.





51. Connect the PCV breather hose and tube to the valve cover.
1 Connect the PCV breather hose and tube to the valve cover.
2 Install the bolt.
3 Position the clamp.





52. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connectors.
1 Position the wire harness.
2 Connect the A/C high pressure switch electrical connector.
3 Connect the A/C compressor clutch electrical connector.





53. Align the mark on the distributor shaft with the protruding mark on the distributor housing.





54. Install the distributor assembly.
1 Install the distributor.
2 Connect the electrical connector.
3 Connect and clip the electrical connector.
4 Install the bolt.





55. Confirm that the distributor rotor head is set as shown.





56. Install the distributor cap.
1 Position the distributor cap and spark plug wires.
2 Tighten the distributor cap screws.





57. Connect the heater hose to the heater hose pipe.
1 Connect the heater hose to the heater hose pipe.
2 Position the clamp.





58. Connect the coolant bypass hose to the water hose connection.
1 Connect the coolant bypass hose to the water hose connection.
2 Position the clamp.





59. Install the upper timing belt cover bolt.





60. Connect the upper radiator hose.
1 Connect the upper radiator hose.
2 Position the clamp.
3 Install the bolt.





61. CAUTION: Make sure the fuel injection supply manifold insulators are installed with the fuel injection supply manifold.

Install the fuel injection supply manifold and insulators.
1 Position the fuel injection supply manifold and insulators.
2 Install the bolts.





62. Connect the fuel lines.
1 Position the fuel line.
2 Install the bolts.
3 Connect the fuel hose.
4 Install the clamp.





63. Install the spark plug wire bracket bolt.
1 Position the spark plug wire bracket
2 Install the bolt.





64. Connect the water temperature indicator sender unit electrical connector.





65. Position the PCV breather tube and wire harness.
1 Position the breather tube and wire harness.
2 Connect the PCV breather hose.
3 Position the clamp.
4 Install new wire straps.





66. Connect the H02S electrical connector.
1 Clip the wire harness to the bracket.
2 Connect the H02S electrical connector.





67. Install the ground wire bolts.





68. Connect the electrical connectors.
1 Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
2 Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector.





69. Install the radiator assembly.
1 Position the radiator assembly.
2 Install the radiator brackets and bolts.
70. Raise the vehicle.





71. Connect the lower radiator hose.





72. Connect the lower transaxle cooler line.





73. Connect the wiring harness to the fan shroud.
74. Install the engine splash shield.
75. Lower the vehicle.





76. Position the relay box back.
77. Connect the upper transaxle cooler line.





78. Connect the upper radiator hose.





79. Connect the cooling fan electrical connector and clip the wire harness to the shroud.
80. Connect the coolant reservoir hose.
81. Install the upper intake manifold.





82. Check the ignition timing.
