Fuel Filter: Service and Repair
REMOVALWARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY AN OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL-RELATED COMPONENT. DO NOT WORK ON FUEL-RELATED COMPONENTS WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT. LEAKING FUEL MAY CONTACT HOT ENGINE COMPONENTS AND BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Relieve the fuel pressure.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the fuel filter splash shield.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Remove the bolts.
4. Remove the fuel filter.
1 Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter.
2 Remove the fuel filter bracket nuts.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: Make sure to install the fuel filter with the arrow facing forward.
