Reactivation Procedures

WARNING: THE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS MUST BE REMOVED AND THE AIR BAG MODULES RECONNECTED WHEN THE SYSTEM IS REACTIVATED TO AVOID NON-DEPLOYMENT IN A COLLISION, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: THE AIR BAG SIMULATORS MUST BE REMOVED AND THE AIR BAG MODULES RECONNECTED WHEN THE SYSTEM IS REACTIVATED TO AVOID NON-DEPLOYMENT IN A COLLISION, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

2. Wait three minutes for the backup power supply in the air bag diagnostic monitor to deplete its stored energy.
3. Remove the Restraint System Diagnostic Tool from the vehicle harness and connect the driver air bag module.
4. Remove the Restraint System Diagnostic Tool from the vehicle harness and connect the passenger air bag module.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
6. Prove out the system.
