Normal Operation
When autolock is enabled the vehicle security module will read inputs from:
- the digital transmission range (TR) sensor
- the brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- door ajar switches (all doors closed.)

The BPP switch and TR sensor inputs are received through the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART) based protocol (UBP) communications network. Once the vehicle security module receives all three inputs the doors will automatically lock.

Possible Causes
- DTC 1321 will set when the LH front door ajar circuit is shorted to battery
- DTC 1329 will set when the RH front door ajar circuit is shorted to battery
- DTC 1333 will set when the liftgate ajar circuit is shorted to battery
- DTC 1337 will set when the door ajar RH rear circuit is shorted to battery
- DTC 1573 will set when the door ajar LH rear circuit is shorted to battery
- UART based protocol (UBP) communications network
- vehicle security module
- door ajar switches
