ISSUE
Some 2002-2003 Explorer/Mountaineer vehicles equipped with the 4.0L engine, may exhibit a hard start/no start condition during cold ambient temperatures after a short hot soak period.
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration level using WDS release B37.12 and higher or B38.2 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the B38 CD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website. If the concern is not resolved, perform normal diagnostics.
