PINPOINT TEST AY: THE AIR BAG WARNING CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Test AY1-AY3:

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster receives the air bag warning chime input from the restraint control module (RCM) through circuit 1390 (DB). The RCM will determine the status of the safety belt before requesting a secondary air bag warning chime. The RCM will input a 50% duty cycle to ground on circuit 1390 (DB) to request the air bag warning chime.

Possible Causes
- circuit 1390 (DB) open or shorted to ground
- instrument cluster
- restraint control module (RCM)
