Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair
INSTRUMENT PANELREMOVAL
1. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
Remove the driver and passenger air bag modules.
2. Remove the A-pillar trim panels and RH cowl side trim panel.
3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table. To remove individual components, only carry out the listed steps.

Item 19: Pinch Bolt Removal Note
1. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the clockspring, do not allow the steering column shaft to rotate while the intermediate shaft is disconnected.
Remove the bolt.
Item 33: Instrument Panel Bolt Removal Note
1. Remove the cowl panel grille to access the bolt.
Item 34: Instrument Panel Defroster Grille Removal Note
1. CAUTION: To avoid damaging the sun load sensor electrical connector, remove the grille just enough to remove the connector.
Remove the grille.
Item 41: Instrument Panel Bolts Removal Note
1. CAUTION:
- To avoid damage to the instrument panel, an assistant is required to support the panel before carrying out this step.
- Before removing the instrument panel make sure all electrical connector wiring is free and not hindered.
Remove the bolts and remove the instrument panel.
INSTALLATION
1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
