PINPOINT TEST AB: THE CHECK GAUGE WARNING INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Test AB1-AB3:

Normal Operation
The check gauge warning indicator status information is transmitted to the instrument cluster over the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network, circuits 914 (TN/OG) and 915 (PK/LB). The PCM will send a signal to the instrument cluster to turn on the check gauge warning indicator if the engine oil pressure drops below approximately 42 kPa (6 psi), the engine temperature exceeds approximately 118°C (244°F), or if the fuel level drops below approximately 15 percent of fuel system capacity (base cluster only)

Possible Causes
- PCM
- instrument cluster
