PINPOINT TEST AD: THE LOW WASHER FLUID INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Test AD1-AD3:

Test AD4-AD6:

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster receives the low washer fluid status from the low washer fluid switch through circuit 81 (RD/LG). The low washer fluid switch is grounded through circuit 1203 (BK/LB). When the washer fluid level is low, the low washer fluid level switch closes sending a ground signal to the instrument cluster. When the washer fluid level is above the low level, the low washer fluid switch remains open, removing the ground signal to the instrument cluster.

Possible Causes
- circuit 81 (RD/LG) open or short to ground
- circuit 1203 (BK/LB) open
- low washer fluid level switch
- instrument cluster
