PINPOINT TEST M: ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS INOPERATIVE

Test M1-M2:

Normal Operation
The multifunction switch provides power to the turn signal lamps depending on the position of the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is placed in the RH turn position, current flows from the multifunction switch to the RF turn signal and right signal mirror bulb through circuit 2 (WH/LB). When the multifunction switch is placed into the LH turn position, current flows from the multifunction switch to the LF turn signal and left signal mirror bulb through circuit 3 (LG/WH). Circuit grounds for the indicator flasher relay and each turn signal bulb are accomplished through grounding circuit 1205 (BK). The timed on/off cycle is determined in the indicator flasher relay and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute if both the front and rear indicators operate. If only one turn signal lamp operates, the indicator flasher relay will flash approximately 160 times per minute.

Possible Causes
- circuit 2 (WH/LB) open
- circuit 3 (LG/WH) open
- circuit 1205 (BK) open
- multifunction switch
