Pinpoint Test J: DTC C1287-Brake Booster Pedal Force Switch Circuit Failure
CAUTION: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.
Normal Operation
The active brake booster has a normally open and a normally closed pedal force switch that operates according to driver brake applications.
The normally open pedal force switch circuit is 1581 (PK/LB). The normally closed pedal force switch circuit is 1580 (WH/LG).
Possible Causes
- circuit 1579 (OG/RD) open, short to ground
- circuit 1580 (WH/LG) open, short to power or ground
- circuit 1581 (PK/LB) open, short to power or ground
- Active brake booster.
- ABS module.
