Normal Operation
The rear only parking aid system is enabled when the vehicle ignition is in RUN and transmission is in REVERSE. For a front and rear system the front and rear sensors will always be active when the transmission is in REVERSE with the vehicle ignition in RUN. The system can be disabled by the reverse park aid switch. The parking aid speaker is integral to the parking aid module. A 750 Hz variable warning tone is generated from a parking aid speaker attached to the parking aid module. The parking aid speaker increases the warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle.
