PINPOINT TEST F: THE SPEED CONTROL SWITCH IS INOPERATIVETest F1-F2:

Normal Operation
The driver command input signals are sent to the speed control actuator from the speed control switches through command circuit 151 (LB/BK) and return circuit 848 (DG/OG). When different speed control switches are pressed, the speed control actuator interprets the values of the resistances that have been set by each individual switch. When these inputs are received by the speed control actuator, a stepper motor is prompted to pull the throttle through a speed control cable and maintain a selected speed.
Possible Causes
- circuit 151 (LB/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 848 (DG/OG) open or short to ground
- clockspring
- speed control actuator
- speed control switch
