Attachment III - Technical Information

The affected vehicles require installation of a corrected SMOG Emissions Information label. These labels are designed to be printed on a plain sheet of paper. Each sheet of paper contains five (5) revised SMOG Emissions Information labels.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Locate the VECI label under the hood and identify the three-letter label suffix.





2. Refer to the chart to identify the correct SMOG Index based on the VECI label suffix for the vehicle being serviced.

3. Once identified, print the appropriate page and cut out one (1) SMOG Information label from the printed page. Retain the printed page for use on other affected vehicles which require the same SMOG Emissions Information.

4. Partially peel back the Parts Content Information label from the left side door glass.

5. Affix the new SMOG Emission Information label over the original using cellophane tape and reattach the Parts Content Information label to the window.
