Normal Operation
12 volts are supplied from the BEC fuse 10 (30A) to the accessory delay relay 1 on circuit 296 (WH/VT). When energized by the SJB, the accessory delay relay 1 supplies 12 volts to the LH window control switch and the passenger window control switch on circuit 170 (RD/LB).
When the passenger window control switch (on the LH window control switch) is pressed in the UP position, the LH window control switch directs 12 volts to the passenger window control switch on circuit 313 (WH/YE) which then directs 12 volts to the passenger window motor on circuit 1506 (RD/WH). Ground is supplied on circuit 1505 (YE/RD) through the passenger window control switch then on circuit 314 (TN/LB) to the LH window control switch which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). When the passenger window control switch (on the LH window control switch) is pressed in the DOWN position, the LH window control switch will direct 12 volts to the passenger window control switch on circuit 314 (TN/LB) which then directs 12 volts to the passenger window motor on circuit 1505 (YE/RD). Ground is supplied on circuit 1506 (RD/WH) through the passenger window control switch then on circuit 313 (WH/YE) to the LH window control switch which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK).
When the passenger window control switch (on the RH side) is pressed in the UP position, 12 volts are supplied to the passenger window motor on circuit 1506 (RD/WH). Ground is supplied on circuit 1505 (YE/RD) through the passenger window control switch, then on circuit 314 (TN/LB) to the LH window control switch which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). When the passenger window control switch (on the RH side) is pressed in the DOWN position, 12 volts are supplied to the passenger window motor on circuit 1505 (YE/RD). Ground is supplied on circuit 1506 (RD/WH) through the passenger window control switch, then on circuit 313 (WH/YE) to the LH window control switch, which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- circuit 170 (RD/LB) open
- circuit 1205 (BK) open
- circuit 313 (WH/YE) open
- circuit 314 (TN/LB) open
- circuit 1505 (YE/RD) open or short to ground
- circuit 1506 (RD/WH) open or short to ground
- LH window control switch
- RH window control switch
- window motor
