Normal Operation
The speed control actuator is powered through circuit 601 (LB/PK) and is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). The driver command input signals are activated from the speed control switches through circuit 151 (LB/BK) and 848 (DG/OG). When these inputs are received by the speed control actuator, a stepper motor is prompted to pull the throttle through a speed control cable to maintain the selected speed. When the brake pedal is applied the speed control deactivator switch opens. This causes circuit 535 (LB/RD) to open. The speed control actuator then releases the throttle, sending the actuator into sleep mode until the speed control resume or set switch is pressed or the speed control is switched off or the ignition is turned off.
