PINPOINT TEST C: THE HEADLAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Test C1-C8:

Test C9-C12:

Normal Operation
The SJB monitors the headlamp switch position. When the headlamp switch is in the headlamps ON position, the SJB supplies voltage to the RH and LH headlamps through circuits 1336 (LG/WH) and 1338 (WH) respectively. The SJB controls the ground circuit for the high beam relay coil (which is supplied battery voltage) through circuit 1708 (LG/BK). When the high beam relay is energized, power is routed to circuits 1335 (YE/WH) and 1337 (VT/YE) from the BEC. If a problem is detected with any of the signal circuits to the headlamp switch, the SJB will default the parking lamps and headlamps ON.

Possible Causes
- circuit 1335 (YE/WH) (RH halogen high beam) short to power
- circuit 1336 (LG/WH) (RH halogen low beam) short to power
- circuit 1337 (VT/YE) (LH halogen high beam) short to power
- circuit 1338 (WH) (LH halogen low beam) short to power
- circuit 1708 (LG/BK) (high beam relay) short to ground
- high beam relay
- multifunction switch
