Normal Operation
The windshield wiper motor receives inputs from the multifunction switch circuits 28 (BK/PK), 58 (WH), 61 (YE/RD), 63 (RD), and 950 (WH/BK). The windshield wiper motor module (internal) controls the wiper run/park relay (internal) using the internal circuitry to control the windshield wiper motor in conjunction with the wiper HI/LO relay (internal). The multifunction switch is grounded on circuit 1205 (BK).
The rear wiper motor module (internal) receives inputs from the multifunction switch on circuits 488 (DG) and 485 (PK/BK), which controls the rear wiper run/park relay (internal) using internal circuitry to control the rear wiper motor. The multifunction switch is grounded on circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- circuit 28 (BK/PK) open or short to ground
- circuit 61 (YE/RD) open or short to ground
- circuit 63 (RD) open or short to ground
- circuit 485 (PK/BK) open or short to ground
- multifunction switch
- windshield wiper motor
- rear wiper motor
