Normal Operation
12 volts are supplied to the windshield wiper motor from the BEC fuse 54 (30A) on circuit 1671 (RD). 12 volts are also supplied to the windshield wiper motor from the SJB fuse 3 (10A) on circuit 65 (DG) for the run/park, hi/low and washer internal relays. The windshield wiper motor receives inputs from the multifunction switch circuits 28 (BK/PK), 58 (WH), 61 (YE/RD), 63 (RD), and 950 (WH/BK). The windshield wiper motor module (internal) will then control the washer relay (internal). When the relay is activated, 12 volts are supplied to the windshield washer motor on circuit 941 (BK/WH). The windshield washer motor is grounded on circuit 1205 (BK).
12 volts are supplied to the rear wiper motor from BEC fuse 55 (25A) on circuit 56 (DB/OG). 12 volts are also supplied to the rear wiper motor from SJB fuse 7 (10A) on circuit 406 (BN/WH) for the run/park and washer internal relays. The rear wiper motor module (internal) receives inputs from the multifunction switch on circuits 488 (DG) and 485 (PK/BK), which controls the rear washer relay (internal). When the relay is activated, 12 volts are supplied to the rear washer motor on circuit 946 (VT/LG). The rear washer motor is ground on circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- circuit 941 (BK/WH) open or short to ground
- circuit 946 (VT/LG) open or short to ground
- circuit 950 (WH/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 1205 (BK) open
